Excel Lesson 3
- Absolute Reference:A cell reference in an Excel formula that dosen't change when you copy the formula to another cell or range.
- Arguments:Inputs such as numbers, text,cell reference, or logical values that are used in Excel functions to perform calculations.
- AutoFilter:An Excel feature that enables you to apply a filter to a list in order to display a subset of data.
- Discussion Comments:Comments that are displayed with an Excel workbook but stored on a discussion sever.
- Discussion Server:A computer that stores discussion comments.
- Fill handle:In Excel, the small, black square lacated in the lower-right corner of a selected cell or range that you can use to copy a value or formula to adjacent cells.
- Filter:In Excel , a future that allows you to display a subset of data in a list on a worksheet.
- Formula Bar:The long white bar above the column heading in an Excel worksheet that you can use to enter or edit cell data.
- Function:A predefined formula in Ecel that performs a specific, built in operation
- Relative Reference:In Excel a cell reference in a formula that automatically adjusts to new location when you copy the formula to another cell or range.
- Syntax:The structure for entering functions and commands, including spelling,punctuation,and acceptale keywords.
- Thread:A set of discussion comments and responses that are grouped and displayed in hierarchical.

1. Active Cell:In Excel, the cell that is currently selected.
2. Cell:The intersection of a row and a column in a table or worksheet.
3. Column:A vertical line of cells identified by an alphabetic lable at the top of the column.
4. Find:A command that searchs fro speciefd text and/or formatting in a document.
5. Formula:In , a cell entery that performs calculations.
6. Label:A text entery in an Excel worksheet.
7. Range:A cell or group of cells that can be selected in an Excel worksheet.
8. Replace:A command that searches for specified tex and /or formatting in a document and repalce it with new text and/or formating that yo specify.
9. Row:In Excel a horizontal line of cells identified by a row nember at the left end of row.
